Who We Are & What We Do

Melbourne Main Street is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works to build public and private partnerships to revitalize Historic Downtown Melbourne. An accredited Main Street part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, our mission is to fuel economic growth by capitalizing on the community’s assets and paying particular attention to the physical, cultural, and social identity of Downtown Melbourne.

Foster collaboration amongst Downtown business owners, the City of Melbourne, and community stakeholders.

  • Hold quarterly merchant meetings
  • Openly communicate with Downtown stakeholders and community
  • Advocate for Downtown partnerships and collaborate with the City of Melbourne
  • Community & consensus building to address key areas of Downtown’s development

Promotion:

Showcase the rich cultural and business diversity of Downtown Melbourne through advertising, establishing partnerships with tourism based organizations, and hosting community-focused events.

  • Work with property owners to ensure a healthy and diverse Downtown marketplace
